WASHINGTON, Nov. 5 - The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), in partnership with Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.), invites school administrators and other personnel to view a series of webinars that offer innovative solutions for reducing energy consumption in educational facilities. The three-part series showcases affordable and immediate ways to lower utility bills during winter months.

"I am proud to be working with the U.S. Green Building Council and the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority to offer our New York schools this educational series that outlines simple steps to help make our schools greener and more efficient. In conserving energy, we're not only helping the environment, we're saving extra dollars that can go toward additional resources to enrich our children's education," Clinton said.

The "Energy Efficiency Strategies for Schools" webinars will broadcast the 90-minute sessions live at the following times:

  1. "Top 10 No-Cost Ways to Lower Your School's Utility Bills" -- Thurs., Nov. 6 at 1 p.m. (EDT)
  2. "Top 10 Low-Cost Ways to Lower Your School's Utility Bills" -- Wed., Dec. 3 at 1 p.m. (EDT)
  3. "Top 10 Investments to Lower Your School's Utility Bills" -- Wed., Jan. 21 at 1 p.m. (EDT)

The first session is free. Subsequent sessions cost $10 each for USGBC members and $15 for non-members. The cost is based on each internet connections, not the number of participants at each connection. Archived webinars will be available after each live session.
