Boston can expect a surge of construction professionals in mid-November as industry leaders converge in Beantown for two separate conventions -- Greenbuild and Build Boston. The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and the Boston Society of Architects (BSA) are each hosting their annual convention and trade show next week. As a perk for registrants, combined registration options are being offered.

The USGBC's annual Greenbuild International Conference and Expo will take place at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center Nov. 19 to 21. Build Boston, the BSA's convention and tradeshow at the Seaport World Trade Center, runs Nov. 18 to 20. Registration for either show covers free admission to both shows' exhibit halls. And, each show will post hours and event highlights for the other show.

"With both Greenbuild and Build Boston in town, there's a terrific intersection for AEC professionals interested in finding out more about the realignment of processes in the building industry," said Phil Bernstein, FAIA, vice president of Autodesk and a featured speaker at both Build Boston and Greenbuild. "We are fortunate to be able to take advantage of the synergies offered by these two shows, and attendees will surely benefit from having so many innovators in the same place, at the same time."

Greenbuild International Conference & Expo
Greenbuild International Conference & Expo convenes the industry's largest gathering of representatives from all sectors of the green building movement. Three days of educational programming, workshops, trade show exhibitions and networking events provide opportunities to learn about the latest technological innovations, explore new products, and exchange ideas with other professionals.
Archbishop Desmond Tutu will offer Greenbuild's opening keynote speaker. The show offers full and single-day registration options. Last year's conference drew more than 23,000 attendees and featured more than 850 exhibit booths. Visit www.greenbuildexpo.org for more information. Build Boston
Build Boston is New England's largest annual convention and tradeshow for the design and construction industry. Attendees typically include architects, engineers, contractors, builders, interior designers, facility managers, engineers and landscape architects. The conference program features more than 240 workshops, symposia and tours, plus 350 exhibit hall booths promoting building technologies, products and services.
In addition to green/sustainable programs, Build Boston offers sessions that focus on business development, profitability, universal design, housing, landscape design and interiors. Build Boston has multiple registration options including one-, two- and three-day packages, special symposium pricing, a la carte options and a free exhibit hall pass.
